Rachel qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 2000 from Leeds Metropolitan University. She has specialised in paediatric and adolescent musculoskeletal physiotherapy since 2004, and has worked at an advanced level in the NHS as an Extended Scope Practitioner Physiotherapist in paediatric orthopaedics, since 2012. In this role, she works alongside Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeons to ensure the most appropriate and effective management for children with orthopaedic/musculoskeletal problems.
Rachel gained advanced sports knowledge and experience working at the Commonwealth Games (2002), football academies- including Leeds United Football Club(2001-3), and completing her MSc in sports injuries and exercise management in 2005.
Rachel teaches on physiotherapy, sports therapy, and nursing courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level, at universities and hospitals across the region.
